How to crochet a heart with HappyBerry crochet..

Hello friends!!!
it's still February.. the month of Love ad hearts.. I've been wanting to write a post on crocheted hearts and I'm still on time!!... even if I think anytime is always the right time to speak about hearts... :)
I recently found a beautiful website about knitting and crochet.. they have a BLOG, a SHOP and a you-tube channel! They are called HAPPYBERRY. Cute, eh? You need to check them out... they even have adorable free patterns
I'll share with you the you-tube video on how to crochet a heart. I've tried to crochet hearts before in different ways...but I think this is my favorite result! Also, the girl who teaches the technique is really sweet... not boring at all.. and has a cute British accent!! She sounds like Keira Knightly or Emma Thompson {I don't know if you a fan of English actresses like me...}...
So, what are you waiting for?? If you know how to crochet..you will learn how to make a cute heart... and if you don't know how to crochet... you will just learn!! :)

These are just 3 of my little hearts. I'm thinking to crochet a couple more and make a bunting banner.. maybe a cake-topper.. I love the yellow yarn I used.

And now... the you-tube video. Thank you Crochet Berry for allowing me to show and share your beautiful work!!! :)

Hugs and kisses to you all!! until next time!!!

Lovely Red Hearts

The weeks preceding Valentine's Day are my favorite weeks for crafting! I love cute little hearts, lovey-dovey creations, sweetie-pie things.. everything looks so sweet and nice. It may be just appearance, but it makes me want to craft! So, yesterday I made a new cup-cozy for my SHOP.. and one day I will have the courage to go to Starbucks or another coffee-place and ask them to sell my cozies there!! What do you think? Would it be something possible? We'll see....
In the meantime I crochet and I sell on my Etsy Shop. Here is my newest cozy, inspired by the cuteness in the air. :) My goal is to sell tons... but maybe I won't sell any and I'll just use this one and sip a delicious coffee feeling pretty with my CozyHearts.

Have a sweet, lovely night!!!

Russian Little Lady.

Happy Saturday everyone!!!
I hope you are having a wonderful week-end..
I always forgot to show you another little amigurumi doll that I made. It's a little Russian Doll!!
I made it as a present for my sister's birthday last month. She received it a few days ago and she liked it!! It was a hard work... it took me a whole day to make it.. I don't think you'll ever see it in my shop!! haha
But I like to see the picture, I love the details and the web-site where the pattern came from.

編みぐるみ or.. Amigurumi :)

I've always liked the cuteness of the so-called "amigurumi" and I've always wondered: What does it mean? Maybe you already know, but I had to go check on Wikipedia and the explanation is this:

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, andnuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll. Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features,as is typical in Japanese culture.

Now it makes sense!! :)

I recently bought a pattern on Etsy. The owner and designer happens to be Italian! Her name is Ilaria, she's incredibly good! Her SHOP is beautiful! I also explored her BLOG.. she has some free patterns (I just started to create a little Matryoska doll.. too cute!) and she shows many of her creations. Everything is so adorable that makes me want to crochet all day! and it's exactly what I did today, forgetting a little bit about my messy house...
The pattern I bought from her was very well explained, step by step, with a lot of pictures. I have to confess that the initial request to look for Amigurumi patterns came from my husband {I taught him how to crochet one day, when he was really bored.. and now he became better than me!!}.. he's the one who made Ilaria's Teddy Bear, I just gave it the final touch.

And these are a few of Ilaria's works of art!!

It's all for now....until next time!!

These past few weeks me and my husband have been working a lot for our shop. We made some new purses..which I like a lot! I've also had fun posing and taking pictures!! We enjoy working together, it's so much fun. Now even the kids want to learn how to crochet... we will probably become a crochet factory!!! =)
Here's the pictures of our last creations:

my Cherry Cupcake ♥

Deep in my thoughts.. in my mind that never stops thinking, creating, imagining something new to make.. a little Ladybug found a deliciously pink cupcake. It was love at first sight!! She crawled on top of the icing and ate the cherry, which became her clever disguise.. trying not to be noticed. :)
This is the story behind my new cozy: the CHERRY CUPCAKE LADYBUG. Bring it to Starbucks and it will make everybody turn their heads because of her cuteness!! ♥ I love the cotton I used for this cozy, it's incredibly soft..and the color is just adorable. I cannot resist pink!! I bought that yarn thinking that I would have made something cute out of it... well, I really hope you like it too!!!
