The gift of Sewing {chevron pouches}

Lots and lots of things to do everyday in my sweet family of 6!!! Especially in this time, getting ready to leave Cali and spend summer in Colorado.. {I haven't packed anything yet... only in my head, of course}. My children are done with their school year. Already??? I cannot believe it. I have to say that it has been a great year for the 3 of them, we were blessed with wonderful teachers. At the School-Open-House meeting last week, I had to hold back my tears.. I wish they all could remain the same for every year of school. That's how it is in my country, and I would love the same thing here. I know it's going to be okay, no matter what, and hopefully we will fall in love with the new teachers next year.
Sewing cute pouches for the teachers has been part of my busyness these last days. I'm going to fill them with manicure goodies and a Thank-You note from my children. I really hope they like them!

I love the chevron pattern and the pastel colors. I lined them with a different fabric and the organza rosette is also handmade by me. {I listed them in my SHOP, in case you need one!}.

What do you think? Do you give gifts to your children's teachers? I'd love to know!

I wish you all a wonderful and creative day!!

Have You Ever Gifted a VIP?

December just started and you can already smell Christmas in the air! I had a few orders from my Shop and had a lot of fun crocheting, sewing, wrapping... it's the best time of the year!!
Thinking about presents... have you ever sent a gift to a famous person?..a so called VIP? I'm asking because..I did! A few months ago I created a cozy inspired by Rachael Ray. I love her TV shows {the one on Food Network, whenever I can watch in people's houses with cable, and her daily show}. I sent it to her, well, actually to the Studio where she works...and... I never got any answer. :(
So, I have no idea if it ever reached her hands. Probably not. Oh well! I tried, and I can still imagine that she has it and uses it everyday, sipping her coffee in the morning. Who knows... ;)
If you are curious to see what I sent her... here it is:
I was very lucky to meet her 9 years ago {befooore all her big shows!} while she was shooting an episode of her show "40$ a day" in Denver. I could talk to her and she signed one of her cooking books.. I have a collection of them!
Do you have any experience with VIPs? I would love to hear them!!!

That's all from me!...for now...

Russian Little Lady.

Happy Saturday everyone!!!
I hope you are having a wonderful week-end..
I always forgot to show you another little amigurumi doll that I made. It's a little Russian Doll!!
I made it as a present for my sister's birthday last month. She received it a few days ago and she liked it!! It was a hard work... it took me a whole day to make it.. I don't think you'll ever see it in my shop!! haha
But I like to see the picture, I love the details and the web-site where the pattern came from.
